This picture made me the 11th grade winner of the Ordway Theatre "Circle of Stars" Art Contest. I was very happy. It turned out I got $50 for it (surprise, I think it should've been more but whatever, it's free money) and I caught the attention of the superintendent of the St.Paul school district. It's supposed to show how america is more of the "vegetable soup" than the "melting pot" since though there are a ton of cultures here they don't try to blend in with everyone else. Oh, and the red,white, and blue star thing on her face isn't an american flag, it's a puerto rican one.
